Estate documents are deeply personal, so here's plainly how they're handled.
Private by default. Files you upload are stored in a private bucket. Each user can only ever access their own files and data, enforced at the database level with row-level security — not just hidden in the interface.
Document reading. When you use a document feature like the Deed Reader, the file is sent to a vision AI model to read the text, then the result is stored with your estate. We choose providers with data-retention controls, and our roadmap includes on-device redaction of personal details before any cloud call and, ultimately, self-hosted reading so documents never leave our servers.
Keys stay on the server. The credentials that talk to our AI and database never reach your browser.
You're in control. You can delete a document or your whole estate at any time, which removes it from our systems.
